Demand Energy provides Utility Companies with a distributed electricity inventory solution that dramatically improves the efficiency of existing generation resources, avoids costs associated with new construction, and optimizes renewable energy source useability. Our breakthrough component-the Demand Shifter, stores electricity at distributed commercial and residential end points of consumption during off-peak hours using next-generation battery technology and centralized control.

The Demand Shifter can be programmed to dispatch this electricity inventory back onto the grid where it can consumed during times of peak demand or other times of need-such as renewables firming. The Demand Energy device is designed for large-scale, distributed deployments and is fully managed and monitored through a feature-rich network management system.

The Demand Shifter smoothes the traditional 'peak and valley' usage wave, effectively balancing the load, and relieves generation and transmission resources of costly wear and tear and congestion. The Demand Shifter compliments renewable sources of energy, helps meet spinning reserve mandates, drives down capital costs, and helps avoid peak pricing.

Demand Energy delivers Demand Shifters in several configurations, from 5kW residential units up to 110kW commercial and industrial models, or combinations of units linked together to achieve any desired capacity.
